Filling your free time at night at the night market with friends on the weekends is definitely very lively. However, since this Movement Control Order (PKP) started since last March, surely you all miss the atmosphere at the night market. Not only are you served with a wide variety of food dishes but you are also offered low prices for clothes, shoes, fragrances and so on.

There are 5 night markets or ‘uptown’ that you must visit but after the end of PKP.

1. Metrocity Night Market

This night market is located in Petrajaya, 15 minutes from Kuching city center and is an initiative of the N6 Tupong Hawkers Association. It is  open every night Wednesday to Saturday. Opens from 4 PM until 11 PM onwards. This is one of the biggest night markets in Kuching.

 

2. Satok Night Market at uptown Civic Center

Operating on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays, this night market is one of the famous night markets as it is located in the heart of Kuching. The night market is located at the Civic Center and will only take 5 minutes to Waterfront Kuching. It is the main focus for young people to find food, clothing and so on. Sometimes it’s closed due to covid 19.

3. Jalan Haji Taha Night Market

 A new night market that opened last year, the site operates every Wednesday to Saturday like the Metrocity Night Market. For those of you who are interested in buying bundle clothes, you can get them at the night market at an affordable price.

4. MPKS Night Market, UniGarden

 Operating daily from 5 pm until 12 midnight, this market has various food stalls offering various types of dishes such as fried rice, satay and so on. In addition to enjoying delicious food, you will be entertained by a group of talented buskers.

5. Kota Samarahan Night Market

 For those of you who do not have the opportunity to visit the night market listed above, do not worry because the night market in Kota Samarahan will also serve you with food, cakes, clothes and accessories. May we all be patient and resilient during this PKP season.
