Coco Cabana, with its breezy beach view and areas to relax in the sun, is one of Miri’s most popular tourist attractions in the city centre. It’s also where the iconic seahorse lighthouse is located, and it’s one of the best spots to watch one of Miri’s fiery sunsets as it dips beyond the horizon.
A daily uptown evening market is held near the parking area, and the 1511 Cafe is nearby for those who are hungry. The event hall is located further in, near the lighthouse, which is adjacent to the food promenade, where vendors serve food and beverages to tourists.

On all sides, there is a view of the ocean, and a cruise jetty nearby allowing smaller boats and yachts to dock. Visitors frequently wander along the jetty, taking in the view of the ocean or the sunset.
There are some swing sets, as well as a major event hall with finely carved doors and wall decorations, making it a lovely setting for photography and gatherings.
Reaching there:
- A 20-minute walk or a 5-minute drive from the city centre. In Miri, take a taxi or use one of the e-hailing apps.

- No entrance fee
Travel Tips:
- If you’re going during the day, wear sunscreen and pack plenty of water.
