1. Sungai Kanching Waterfalls

   If you enjoy swimming and picnicking by a rolling stream, you’ll love Kanching Eco Forest Park, which is famous for its seven-tiered falls.

  The first four cascades are easily accessible via the concrete path that leads to the waterfall from the park entrance. The gentle flowing waters here make it perfect for some splashing fun for kids and adults alike.

 

2. Sungai Chiling Waterfalls

  Although Sungai Chiling Waterfalls requires a bit of effort to reach, the trek is still suitable for amateur hikers.You’ll need to cross the river five times along the way, however, so don’t expect to complete the trail with dry feet.Only two cascades of this three-tiered waterfall are accessible but both are great for relaxing, with large pools for you to enjoy a refreshing dip. The surrounding areas are also popular picnic spots.

  Families with young kids can skip the trekking and settle in at the cosy open area near the entrance. Here, the river flows gently, and the grounds are ideal for picnics and camping.

 

3. Sungai Gabai Waterfalls

  This multi-tiered waterfall is part of Selangor State Park and is managed by a local village committee.

  Visitors travelling with young children will be glad to know that the first cascade is located just near the entrance.If you do want to see the rest of the falls, you can climb the 336 steps, fitted with handrails and non-slip edging, to the top. On the way, there are several huts where you can stop to catch your breath and take in the lush surroundings.

  The steps lead to a couple more cascades with shallow pools where you can wade in and even slide down some slippery rocks.
